Hi, I'm |
I'm Jacob, a product-minded frontend engineer with over 8 years of experience building complex web applications that people actually use.
I specialise in React and TypeScript, working on state-heavy interfaces and internal platforms where performance and maintainability really matter. Outside of work, I build whatever sounds interesting - geospatial tools, track day aggregators, anime recommendation engines, server dashboards.
I write clean, tested code and believe in building systems that other engineers can actually work with six months later.
Current Project

TrackAtlas is a UK car track day aggregator utilising Next.js with Vercel used for the deployment and cron jobs of automatically fetching and updating a serverless Postgres database with new track days every few days. Project was mostly built utilising Copilot & MCP servers in order to test how quickly I could scaffold a new app with genuine functionality and responsiveness. Initial design/layout came from a rough ChatGPT prompt for image generation, providing a resource for an initial generation from Figma Make to scaffold the initial components and layout. MCPs utilised: GitHub Figma Neon
